The best way to recession proof your job is to live and work in rural Australia. In downturns the resources industry pushes as many roles they can back onto site and the same is true for the health industry. The global financial crisis provides rural based industries with a fantastic opportunity, as city based professionals loose their jobs. Sure the global financial crises (GFC) places pressure regional areas, yet because the dearth of professionals in regional Australia is so severe, it still presents many opportunity for retrenched professionals.The GFC will also allow city based professionals to realise that working within regional Australia
